I rode past the trail closed signs today to take some pictures of what they are doing over Riverton Creek. I originally wrote about the project here. It is a lot of work and I understand what is taking so long. They are making a real bridge over the creek which was originally just a pipe going under the trail. I was there during high tide and was able to see a lot of water up the gully and even saw some ducks having fun in their new area. By the way, there are a lot of fish jumping in the river right now. Hopefully some of them will find their way up the creek to lay their eggs or at least take a break before swimming up the river. Fisherman are everywhere right now and parking in the bike shoulders so be careful on this whole trail.
